Banking on Dreams
Banking on Dreams describes the journey of Lisa Reilly as she
experiences nightmares that directly connect to her reality. In her
real life, she is a bank teller who is scared of the bank vault; this
fear is also a part of her dream landscape. Lisa uses lucid dreaming
techniques to try to control, remember, and share parts of her dreams
with her friends. The interactions of Lisa with the other people in
her world—including her friends, her family members, and even an
occasional enemy—add to the suspense, intrigue, humor, and romantic
elements of this novel.
Lisa’s activities show not only her fears about the dangers of her
world, but also her knowledge of bank culture and her enjoyment of
ballroom dancing. This novel contains interesting dream sequences,
explanations of lucid dreaming techniques, and examples of dream
interpretations. Components from the author’s own dreams have been
used to create realistic dream sequences within the novel. Readers
will enjoy sharing Lisa’s journey as she travels through her dreams,
her reality, and the bridges between the two worlds.
Banking on Dreams can be purchased
in both print and electronic versions.
