“D.C. Cat” is on page 131 of Amazing Holiday Paws. Amazing Holiday Paws has a poem about a cat's dream: "Political Scratches from D.C.'s Dreaming Cat on National Cat Day (October 29)." D.C. Cat is the cat's name. In its dream, D.C. Cat interacts with people who are initially standing on a round table and smelling for rats. This is obviously the cat's view of a person because people don't normally stand on tables. Also, when people's faces are moving around, they are normally looking at things, rather than smelling things. Cats more often focus on smelling items.
The "smelling for rats" idea is obviously intended to be symbolic of political rats. Yes, in our reality, we do have political rats. We also have many political angels, like D.C. Cat. I wonder if D.C. Cat will receive any votes in November 2020.
